A fairy tale story of a beautiful bride and a handsome groom surrounded by gorgeous decorations sets the scene, but that is not what anyone will remember about this wedding. What made it so memorable was that it was marriage of two of the finest people you could every possibly have the privilege to meet. Lovely is the word that decribes Audrey – she is filled with it – gracious to a fault and always thinking of other people's happiness before her own. The only thing that worried her was making sure that everyone else was having a wonderful day too. Honorable is the word for Adam – thoughtful like Audrey and humorous and lots of fun. Typical for Adam was his proposal to Audrey. He happened to hear an organist practicing one Audrey's favorite songs, “On Eagles Wings” one day and had the inspiration to ask him to practice it again the following week while he proposed to Audrey. It is easy to see how happy this marriage will be.
The wedding day itself couldn't have been more perfect or more relaxed for this couple thanks to their their calm and competent wedding planner Barbara Hoover. Audrey looked stunning in a gown designed by Anna Maier (http://www.ulla-maija.com/), the bridesmaids wore complementary irridescent gowns by Alfred Sung (http://www.alfredsungbridals.com/). Ken Meiser (http://www.ken-meisner.com/) designed gorgeous arrangements full of soft and romantic florals that included roses and peonies for both the church, Christ the King (http://www.ctkstl.com/) and the St. Louis Club (www.stlclub.com). Ken Meisner and his partner John Sullivan see to every floral detail and kindly lend their years of wedding expertise during the day of the by arriving early and staying until the reception is well under way. BBJ Rentals (www.bbjlinen.com) provided the pretty tablecloths in the ballroom, and the cake was created by the chef at the St. Louis Club.
One of my favorite parts of weddings is listening to the toasts. It gives you such an incredible view into their life from someone who knows them well, and this wedding was no exception. Among the many heartfelt toasts to this couple was the maid of honor's who described Audrey's fame as a prolific writer of handwritten thank you notes. She, the maid of honor, had received no less than three the day before the wedding!! The dancing that followed the toasts was especially fun thanks to the Fabulous MoTown Review (www.fabulousmotownreview.com) which kept all the guests, but especially the bride and groom, on the dance floor all night long.
Congratulations to you both – you deserve nothing but the best!!
