I have been looking forward to this wedding ever since I first met Kellie and Jeffrey at a wedding last fall. They were both so much fun - filled with so much energy and excitement that I knew their wedding would be a blast. In addition, Kellie was as sweet on the inside as she is pretty on the outside, and Jeffrey was as charming as he was hilarious. Theirs had been a case of love at first sight: Jeffrey's mother, Jan, says that they have never looked back since they first met each other five years ago in New York City. The motto of their wedding day became "wonderful traditions have beautiful beginnings" after they surprised Jeffrey's parents with a sentimental display of photographs from their parents and grandparents weddings. Jan was so touched when she saw them that she had tears in her eyes. It is abundantly clear how close the relationship already is between Kellie and her new family.
The wedding took place on an exquisite spring day at Westwood Country Club which just happened to be surrounded by blooming apple trees and colorful tulips - perfect for outdoor photographs. Their totally competent wedding planner, Jill Crane from Simcha's Events, was everywhere at once making sure that the everyone (including me!) could relax and enjoy the beautiful day. Montano Grant, their talented florist, helped Jan bring springtime inside with lush floral arrangements and an amazing chuppah draped with flowers. Dramatic lighting by Aries illuminated the beautiful flowers and created a festive atmosphere once the dancing really got under way. After heartfelt toasts Kellie and Jeffrey cut the beautiful cake made for them by Sugaree Baking Company, and then spent the rest of the night dancing to the sounds of The Party Faithful. Lighted wands, confetti, and a packed dance floor kept the party going strong until the early morning hours.
Congratulations Kellie and Jeffrey . . your night was truly one of beautiful beginnings.
