I had been looking forward to Sam and Jeff’s wedding from the day that I first met them. Although it was almost a year before their wedding day, this couple was already so excited and having so much fun that I had made a note to myself in their file, “going to be super fun wedding!” Although Sam and her mother also wanted the wedding to be beautiful, they were much more interested in making sure that all their guests had a fabulous time celebrating Sam's marriage to a truly great guy. With the assistance of Simcha from Simcha Events (the ideal choice when a bride wants to be sure to get each detail just right), they filled the day with all kinds of surprises that made the day a really exciting one.
The day began with an endearing surprise for Sam from Jeff - an engraved red stethoscope to remind her of him throughout her work day. Of course Jeff wasn’t surprised that Sam was simply beautiful in her strapless Carolina Herrera gown. Her bridesmaids also looked lovely in their black Monique Lhuillier’s dresses which provided a perfect contrast as this blissfully happy couple as they exchanged their vows beneath the gold-draped chuppah. Festive Couture’s breathtaking floral designs, accented by the lighting from Exclusive Events, provided the perfect backdrop for the ceremony and the reception at the Ritz Carlton Hotel that followed. A lovely, lace-patterned wedding cake created by Sugaree picked up the pattern in Sam’s dress. One unexpected and fun twist that I have never seen before were the gourmet hamburgers that the guests enjoyed for dinner. This really was a fun party!
Sam and Jeff had told me that they planned never to leave the dance floor, and really why would they want to with Griffin and the Gargoyles rocking this party down. Perhaps the most memorable part of the evening was when Jeff jumped up onto the stage, grabbed a guitar, and sang his heart out to Sam. Wow! He was amazing!
I am really going to miss working this lovely bride whose enthusiasm and genuine good will make her a pleasure to spend time with.
Congratulations Sam and Jeff! May all of your married days be filled with as much joy as your first one!
