Rosemary and Chris’s wedding was one of those rare weddings that will not be easily forgotten. In fact, it was SO much fun that I am sure their friends will still be talking about it 50 years from now. It was very important to Rosemary and her mother that I understood that the wedding would not be about “things,” and, indeed, the wedding wasn’t. They didn’t worry about details - which might be why they were so relaxed both during the planning and on the wedding day itself. Really, the only thing that this couple was excited about was actually getting married and then having a wonderful celebration. This is, of course, a great lesson for any future bride. Honestly, those details that we spend so much time on really are just for fun.
In the spirit of this wedding, I will only mention a few key “things” that I thought made the wedding so much fun for everyone. Rosemary and her mother were both simply amazing dancers, and they NEVER left the dance floor. The Fabulous Motown Revue really was fabulous enough to keep up with them, and that was no mean feat. Another shout-out to Contemporary ProductionsSalem United Methodist ChurchSaint Louis Country Clbu who staged the “techno” light show. They flooded the entire room with color as riotous as the dancing, creating the perfect lighting for my wonderful set of Canon L series lenses to capture the evening as it really was. When you look at these pictures, you feel as though you are really there.
Congratulations to you both and may your married days always be filled with joy!
