I have been looking forward to photographing Kim and John’s wedding since I first met Kim for their engagement session last fall. Kim is just genuinely lovely - like a princess in storybook fairytale - gentle, sweet and beautiful with an equally lovely family. And John so very obviously loves and cherishes her; and his family, whom I have known and photographed for many years, is as strong, loving and as generous as they come. So of course both families are so pleased about this marriage, and the day was filled with joy.
Their wedding day began with a leisurely morning at Old Warson Country Club where Kim and her charming bridesmaids had their hair and makeup expertly done by MW Makeup Designs and the Guy and Carmelo Salon. Kim looked like the princess that she truly is in a gorgeous gown designed by Allure Bridal for Clarice’s Bridal Shop, and the bridesmaids were lovely in dresses designed by Bill Levkoff. Jane Winters from Wildflowers created the ladies charming bouquets and well as the beautiful arrangements at Our Lady of Lourdes and the reception that followed. The ceremony itself was very personal - John’s grandparents had been married at Our Lady of Lourdes many years ago, and Kim’s uncle the minister gave a moving sermon.
The reception that followed at Old Warson Country Club was a beautiful one and lots of fun. All of the guests seemed to know each other, which is perhaps why the party seemed so relaxed. After cutting their pretty wedding cake by McArthur’s Bakery, Kim and John listened to heartfelt toasts and then danced the night away to the sounds of the Spectrum Band.
Congratulations to you!
