Deanie was the third sister in this family whose wedding I have photographed. As any photographer (or mother) can tell you, no two brides are alike. A bit more shy, she preferred not to be in the spotlight of the camera, so we agreed to take only a small number of posed photographs which I promised to get her through as quickly as possible. I am well known in the St. Louis for being the fastest photographer for posed groups, which comes from my early training in Houston. I love photographing weddings where my clients want fewer posed photographs, allowing me to focus all of my attention on capturing moments that tell the viewer so much more about the bride and groom.
The wedding day was a beautiful one and couldn't have been more perfect or relaxed thanks to their calm and competent wedding planner, Mary Fox. Arriving at the Church of the Annunziata, Deanie looked stunning in a beautiful gown by Jenny Packham of London. Her flower girls were darling in their charming, whimsical dresses from Chasing Fireflies. Their talented florist, Ken Miesner, helped bring the beautiful summer day inside with florals of lush white hydrangeas and roses. I think all the guests got goose bumps during the ceremony listening to the beautiful musical selections sung by the St. Louis Archdiocesan Choir. Following the ceremony, we spent exactly twelve minutes (my cameras record the time) doing a few posed photographs in front of the church.
Old Warson Country Club was the venue for the reception and was as beautiful as the ceremony - gorgeous weather drew the guests to the patio for the cocktail hour. When the dinner bell rang, all were once again greeted by the beautiful floral arrangements created by Ken Miesner. After Deanie and Tom cut their pretty cake by the Cakery, they sat down to a lovely meal with their friends and family accompanied by the sounds of the String Quartet.
All the best to you both!
