The Log Cabin Club in St. Louis was the setting for this relaxed rehearsal dinner on a beautiful July night here in St. Louis at the Log Cabin Club. Ryan’s mother, Kay, had told me that the plan for the party was for everyone to have a casual good time. And they certainly did. The evening was such a lovely one that everyone congregated outside on the patio overlooking the golf course. Ryan’s Marine buddies from his recently completed tour of duty in Afghanistan were there to help him celebrate, and they definitely lent the party a lively air with their energetic dancing. One of my favorite parts of photographing a rehearsal dinner is listening to the toasts offered by their family and friends. All of Ryan’s family and friends described him as being the quintessential all-around good guy - liked and trusted equally by both his teachers and his fellow students. The one you could count on - loyal to friends, family and, of course! his country. Lauren, tellingly, received the same kinds of toasts. Many of her friends spoke of her loyalty and how they always knew that she would be there for them no matter what. Lauren and Ryan are one of those couples that that you know will leave the world a brighter place.
