Tate hit the home run of a lifetime on that bitter cold January day when he married his long-time sweetheart, Margaret. They have known each other since Kindergarten, where, according to their family and friends, they developed a little crush on each other that never quite went away. Although they remained friends all they way through school, there was always a certain something between them that finally revealed itself as True Love when they began dating in college. After Tate’s baseball career took off and he signed with the Boston Red Sox minor league, he didn’t wait long to propose. He had waited long enough already. It is easy to see what a happy and fun marriage this one will be with Margaret’s sunny disposition and Tate’s easy-going good nature.
Although I have driven by Memorial Presbyterian church thousands of times all my life, this was first time I have had the good fortune to photograph a wedding there. The soft natural light throughout the church made it easy to take beautiful photographs and was also a big plus for Studio 703 whose talented artists did the hair and makeup for Margaret and her bridesmaids. Margaret was simply stunning in a gown she designed herself and had custom-made by Sincerely Yours Bridal.
The charming pink and white nosegays that the bridesmaids carried, the lush altar flowers and table arrangements at the fun reception that followed at Neo on Locust were all designed by the talented Barb Wehking from Bloomin Buckets. Beautiful lighting and rentals from Exclusive Events gave the party the feel of an enchanted winter evening. Wedding Wonderland created the beautiful cake that the guests enjoyed after a lovely meal catered by Hollyberry Catering. After heartfelt toasts by their family and friends, Tate led Margaret to the dance floor for their first dance to the sounds of A Rocking DJ. Perhaps because most of Margaret and Tate’s friends have known each other for years and years, or perhaps because Margaret and Tate are just so much fun together, the dancing was wonderful – filled with energy, hilarity and joy.
Congratulations to you both!
