Few brides would have the energy and dedication to bake a staggering 408 homemade pecan tassies from her great-grandmother's recipe the week of her wedding - but Lindsey is not just any woman.  When I first met Lindsey and her now-husband Randy together, I immediately knew that she had found her match.  And for two such energetic and fun people, where else would they have met, except playing kickball?

On October 12, 2013 Lindsey and Randy celebrated their marriage on a beautiful fall day at the Christ Church Cathedral across the street from the newly renovated St. Louis Public Library.  This made for the perfect bridal photos for a self-professed bibliophile, with the likes of Racine, Goethe, Cervantes, and Balzac studding the backgrounds of the photographs.  Lindsey looked stunning in a gorgeous gown by Ravini from the Fleur de Lis Bridal Salon, and her bridesmaids were the perfect accompaniment in eggplant gowns by Amsale from Town and Country Bridal.

After a simple but moving ceremony, we headed over to the Old Post Office for the reception, only to discover that it had been transformed into an immaculate nightclub by the talented professionals of Cosmopolitan Events.  Hanging in the middle of the room was a beautiful sculpture rescued from the facade of the Old Post Office which added a touch of the old world to match Lindsey's beautiful lace invitations from Julie Redmond at Vellum Stationary.  Purple and pink arrangements from Jane Winters of Wildflowers adorned the tables, while a stunning cake from Encore Baking Company turned heads in its own right.  Old met new with a particularly lovely touch, a collection of old family photos spread throughout the room.

The dramatic lighting, together with my Canon Mark III cameras, made flash photography superfluous.  Between the vaulted ceilings and great dancing skills of the bride and groom  - to the sounds of the Galaxy Band - I captured some of the best dancing photographs of my career.
