I knew from the first time I talked to Katie and her mother, Susan, that her and Jeffrey's wedding would be especially warm. Both of their families live on the same street and have been friends for years, but the two of them never really connected until Katie moved back to Saint Louis from Chicago. After three different friends tried to set the two of them up, they finally gave it a shot and the rest was history. It is so easy to see how happy their marriage will be from the joy in Katie's face when she looks at Jeff, and the tenderness in his eyes when he looks at her. Both Katie's and Jeffrey's parents still look at each other the same way, and I have no doubt that the two of them will be just as in love years from now when their own children are old enough to walk down the aisle.
They got married on a perfect fall day at one of my favorite venues, Westwood Country Club. Beautifully planned and styled by Simcha Lourie, it couldn't have been more gorgeous. Frankie at Festive Atmospheres did the gorgeous floral design, and hung hundreds of candles from the rafters of the ceiling that twinkled softly through the ceremony, casting a soft glow over the room. Encore Baking made the beautiful and delicious cake that Katie and Jeff cut right after all their sweet and funny toasts. Beautiful draping and an illuminated beautiful white chuppah by Exclusive Events created a festive atmosphere for the dancing with changing colored lights, and Griffin and the Gargoyles were as fabulous as always, keeping everyone on the dance floor all night long. It was a total photographer's dream!
Congratulations Katie and Jeff! I have no doubt that you two will have a wonderful life together!
